Patterns, Colors & Textures
Ceramics workshop by Nacsa-Nagy Liza
5, 10 & 12 December · Budapest
About the workshop
In this workshop we’ll explore how much pattern, texture and color clay can carry on its own, without colored glazes. It’s an introduction rather than a set theme. We’ll get absorbed in making together, in a light, sociable mood.
You’ll make three pieces:
- A small cup or bowl in beige clay, painted or splattered with colored patterns.
- A small cup or bowl in colored clay, patterned with color too.
- A decorative or everyday piece in coarse, grogged clay: an incense holder, a little jewelry dish, or similar.
You can add lettering to any of them.
The price includes the venue, tools and clays, two firings, a final clear protective glaze, and my guidance throughout.
I apply the finishing glaze, fire everything and hand it back to you before Christmas, so your pieces make lovely gifts to yourself or a loved one.
